# `GSGlyph internalAxisRanges(for:associatedMasterID:)`

The internal coordinate ranges of selected axes.

## Declaration

```swift
func internalAxisRanges(for axes: [GSAxis], associatedMasterID: String? = nil) -> [GSAxis : ClosedRange<CGFloat>]
```

## Parameters

- `axes` — The axes whose ranges to compute.
- `associatedMasterID` — The associated master identifier used to restrict glyph-local-axis layer values, or `nil` to include layers associated with every master.

## Discussion

The result omits axes without a qualifying coordinate value. Master layers and Intermediate layers contribute coordinate values. The default value of a glyph-local axis also contributes to its range. When `associatedMasterID` is provided, a glyph-local axis uses only layer values associated with that master. This does not restrict font-axis values or the default value of a glyph-local axis.
