# `GSFont insertFontMasterAndContent:atIndex:`

*Instance Method*

Inserts a local master and copies the content associated with it into the font.

## Declaration

```

## Parameters

- `index` — The insertion index in the local master list.

## Return Value

The inserted master.

## Discussion

The master must belong to a font.
