# `GSFont indexOfObjectInAllMasters:`

*Instance Method*

Returns the index of a local or imported master, or `NSNotFound` when the master is not in the font.

## Declaration

```objc
- (NSUInteger) indexOfObjectInAllMasters:(GSFontMaster *) master;
```

```python
indexOfObjectInAllMasters_(master: GSFontMaster) -> int
```

## Discussion

Local masters are indexed before imported masters.
