# `GSFont glyphsForNames:`

*Instance Method*

Returns the local or imported glyphs matching a sequence of names.

## Declaration

```objc
- (NSArray<GSGlyph *> *) glyphsForNames:(NSArray<NSString *> *) glyphNames;
```

```python
glyphsForNames_(glyphNames: list[str]) -> list[GSGlyph]
```

## Discussion

The result preserves the order and duplicates of matching names and omits names without a glyph.
